Pool & Lake Sessions
We usually hold indoor pool sessions from October to April. In the past these have been held at Wildern School Pool on Saturday afternoons, and more recently at Oaklands Community Pool on weekday evenings.
Led by qualified instructors, these sessions are aimed at beginners wanting to learn some basics before taking to open water and at improvers looking to work on and perfect specific techniques, such as rolling, in a controlled environment.
For more details on planned pool sessions, see our Programme. Please note, pool sessions need to be pre-booked.
Over the summer months (usually early May through to early September) we run a session at Lakeside Country Park in Eastleigh, every Tuesday evening, from 6pm to 8pm.
These sessions are open to all members. Coaches and instructors are usually present and able to offer instruction and support to those who would like it. Lakeside sessions are a great place to hone your flat water paddling skills in all types of craft, from open boats to SUPs, as well as an opportunity to practice rolling and other rescue techniques, playboating and more. Coming along to these sessions is also a great way to meet other members of the club and socialise!
For more details about Lakeside sessions see our Programme. Lakeside sessions do not need to be pre-booked.
