Pool & Lake Sessions
Pool Sessions
Our indoor pool sessions are held from Autumn to Spring. Pool sessions in October and November 2024 will be held at Oaklands Community Pool (see calendar for details). Please note, pool sessions must be pre-booked.
Our pool sessions are for all club members who want to learn to wet-exit, brace, self-rescue and roll in the warmth of a swimming pool. Open to total beginners and improvers who want to secure that bomb-proof roll. Coaches will be on hand to give guidance. More advanced paddlers wishing to practice can buddy up and help each other in the deep end.
Lake Sessions
Over the summer months (usually early May through to early September) we run a session at Lakeside Country Park in Eastleigh, every Tuesday evening, from 6pm to 8pm. The sessions for 2024 begin on 30th April.
These sessions are open to all members. Coaches and instructors are usually present and able to offer instruction and support to those who would like it. Lakeside sessions are a great place to hone your flat water paddling skills in all types of craft, from open boats to SUPs, as well as an opportunity to practice rolling and other rescue techniques, playboating and more. Coming along to these sessions is also a great way to meet other members of the club and socialise!
For more details about Lakeside sessions see our Programme. Lakeside sessions do not need to be pre-booked.
