Activities
The club offers family recreational paddling which endeavors
to sample all facets of the sport. just for fun. As
such, we do not organise or partake in competition events but operate as a
group of like minded people who enjoy the sport of canoeing whilst paddling
as part of a club with inherent companionship and safety in numbers. The club
paddles all year round and arranges many away trips to other waters in order
to experience all aspects of the sport including placid water and canal type
paddles, kayak surfing, white water river running, canoe camping, indoor pool
sessions and much more in between.
Training / Instruction
Members are given instruction and encouraged to progress through the BCU (British Canoe Union)
star system at a rate that suits their individual skill and enthusiasm.
Membership
Membership to the club is split in two sections Full, or Associate.
Full memberships are welcome to paddle with the club during all canoeing
sessions.
Associate Membership is for those wish to be associated with the club and not
actually join in with canoeing sessions, but only want to use the club
facilities to store boats and other small water craft.
